Affordable Family Storage

I have never left a review on a company before, but felt like I needed to for this company. Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. There are no maps or signs so you basically have to guess where to go and the elevator in bay 2 never worked during the couple of months that I rented there. They say they are a clean facility, but there are dead bugs, mice, and stains everywhere in the building. Rent also goes up frequently with hardly any warning. When moving my belongings in, I was lucky enough that someone else was walking out of the door because I was never provided a code to get into the building (after the gate). However, when I went to collect my belongings to move out, I wasn't so lucky and couldn't get in because again, I didn't have the code to get into the building. I called four different numbers, multiple times, and not a single person would get back to me. So, I drove four hours and couldn't even get my belongings that I needed to start my new job. I then wrote an email asking for clarification on this and they didn't get back to me for over a week. After finally getting my things and moving out, I sent them another email to confirm that I am moved out. I got no response. However, a day later, I was emailed an invoice that my card will be charged for December rent on the 1st, when my lease ends the last day of November. Now I am stuck waiting for this to be taken care of as well. Moral of the story, the customer service at this place is horrible and you will not taken care of the way a customer should. Would not recommend.

I have to change previous review. This is not a secure facility. Main doors haven’t functioned in at least a year. In 3 years rent has gone from $105 to $156 and they fix nothing. They are impossible to contact and only allow auto withdraw. They will not process any over or underpayment. My door has never stayed taller than me and I’m 5’ 2”!

Rate went up because the girl in front office said cube smart has changed the name? You must purchase insurance, yet it doesn't cover flood damage, but it's right next to a local creek known to rise and spillover during summer storms...Ridiculous!!!
