ModBox Storage - Mooresville

We use Modbox to store equipment for our local youth sports league. We have never had trouble getting in or out of the facility, and feel our belongings are safe between seasons. We appreciate being able to provide our own lock and insurance, too. All-around decent company.

I reserved a unit for several weeks in advance. Then it made me pay for the unit and the admin fee the day I reserved the unit. But the monthly rental fees began not several weeks in advance, but in the date that I submitted paperwork. I am not going to use it for awhile. They need to be more upset front. I would have rather signed paperwork in the office and have the manager explain everything, then I could have made an informed decision if I really wanted the unit. Also they did not mention having to purchase insurance that essentially doubled the unit cost. It's silly to pay $15 a month on insurance for items that have no value. We were just going to store sentimental items and paperwork. I don't think I'll keep the unit for long because it's not worth it.

Another rent increase. $46 to $53, then $53 to $60, now $60 to $75 in a year and a half. They were the best in Mooresville, now they're no different than Public Storage or any other garbage storage place out there. I'll make sure I'm out by Dec 1st. Please don't respond "market changes, cost of X,Y,Z" etc. Don't give a shit, and can rent he same one "after promo" for $32. The longer you stay, the more you pay. Down to one stars they replied exactly as I assumed they would.
