Be careful. Awful service. We had a 230 appointment to have hitch installed. We waited about 1/2 hour to even be helped at the desk to check in. They told us it would be 5:00-6:00 before the hitch got installed even though we had a 2:30 appointment. We elected to wait. At 4:15 the hitch installer came in and said that he wasn’t going to get to it today and wanted to reschedule for tomorrow. We live over an hour away and planned our entire week around this appointment. The supposed assistant manager at the front desk was rude, nasty and completely apathetic. Did I het angry. You bet. There’s no way we would ever go back to this place for any reason.

It was a bit of a mixed bag. Some reps were great like Makala at the Tampa Waters Ave location that booked my storage. When I first called I was bounced around, transfered a few times by folks that seemed uninterested. When I got to the location for my storage, I was almost turned away. They claimed I didnt have a reservation and they didnt have any storage left. I was about to leave but I pulled up my confirmation and showed it to the manager and he said "Oh, you are already moved in" in the system. Makala was right to move me in, that ensured it was there. But the manager was about to watch me leave, while having my storage showing already moved in. When I asked about a reservation, he should have checked both status, reserved vs moved in. If it is a practice to move people in when they call over the phone to book a storage, he should have checked both status before potentially watching me walking out. After we cleared that up, I went to check the unit but the card didnt work. At this location there are 3 check in terminals and you have to use one specific terminal to log in and then scan the card again to enter. Well I did not do it right the first time so I had to go back and he explained it again. I got it the second time, but I couldnt help but thinking, why not just escort me back there and show me the unit? And let me inspect it before booking and show me how to enter the building? He could have helped more. It was a day before a major hurricane was coming through, it was slow. Half the city was evacuating. The busiest guy was the propane operator. I got the impression that they would rather customers are not around so they can hang out and talk rather than helping customers. They were nice and freindly, but working in customer service over 30 years, I can tell when someone is attentive and goes above and beyond vs quick to get you out the door so they can do something else. The manager after the rocky start and the directions to log in vs walking me through it, was nice and helpful overall. The storage unit was perfect. I really appreiciate the free lock. Its smart, we used to sell them or have the customer use there own, that was a nice change vs how we did it when I worked for Uhaul in the early 2000s. The storage area was clean and temprature in the Cc was up to par. Elevator and carts available, it was helpful being by myself moving things in. I was happy with the storage. Thanks!

Excellent facility. Clean, well lit and secure. The customer service is great. Very helpful and responsive. Good prices too (on high ground away from coastal flooding)
