U-Haul Moving & Storage of Holland

I have rented from this Holland location before and have been so pleased. The easy check-in and check-out procedures with the mobile app are awesome. Even after hours. The truck I rented was well-kept, clean, and on time. Thanks for making my work easy U-haul.

Overall experience was fine, but they double charged my brother. Expenses are tight enough after having to pay outrageous costs for an apartment/ deposit and all sorts of things. They're going to make him wait 5 days for a refund. It's absurd how quickly you can take money, but can't give it back

I recently reserved a car dolly from U-Haul over the phone, making it clear to the representative that I drive a 2000 Chevy 3/4 ton heavy duty pickup. When I arrived to pick up the dolly on Thursday afternoon, I found out the reservation was made under the assumption that I had a 1 ton truck, not the 3/4 ton I actually own. Once my real truck information was entered into their system, U-Haul wouldn’t allow me to rent the car dolly. Their system said it wasn’t recommended for my vehicle—even though my truck’s towing capacity is 10,000 pounds and I was only planning to tow a 2007 Honda Odyssey, which is well within that limit. Because of this, I was left scrambling for an alternative and ended up having to rent from Holland Trailer instead. Not only did this cost me significantly more money, but the only option available was a full-sized 7x20 car hauler trailer. This meant more hassle, much higher fuel consumption, and a longer trip overall. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a frustrating and expensive ordeal. It’s disappointing that after clearly communicating my vehicle details during the reservation, I still ran into this issue at pickup. I wish U-Haul’s reservation process was more accurate and transparent so customers aren’t left in a bind at the last minute. I hope they can improve their system and training to prevent this kind of experience for others.
